KOBU Agency’s campaign for Visit Porto and North of Portugal takes the top prize at the tenth edition of the international tourism and travel film festival!

The Big Trend by Ofelia de Souza, produced by KOBU Agency for Visit Porto and North of Portugal, has won the Grand Prix of the Terres Travel Festival, the highest distinction awarded at the festival’s tenth edition.

The awards ceremony took place on Friday, 18 September, at the Prince’s Gardens in Tortosa, Catalonia, bringing the 2026 edition to a close. Hosted by actress Ivana Miño, the ceremony celebrated ten years of the festival, which ran from 12 to 18 September and brought together more than 100 productions from over 40 countries.

The Grand Prix was awarded to The Big Trend by Ofelia de Souza, a film that takes viewers across Porto and northern Portugal while exploring the lasting value of human connection. Through a witty, character-led narrative, the film contrasts the fleeting nature of trends with the enduring impact of meaningful encounters showing how meetings, events and shared experiences can leave a cultural and emotional mark on both people and places.

Created by KOBU Agency and co-produced by Probably Films, the campaign was developed specifically for the MICE and business tourism segment, positioning Porto and the North of Portugal as a destination for meetings, events and incentive travel. The film continues the universe of The Majestic Adventures of Ofelia de Souza, which introduced the character in 2021.

The Grand Prix adds to an already strong international awards run for The Big Trend. In 2026, the film has received Gold distinctions at the Japan World’s Tourism Film Festival, the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards, the US International Awards and the International Tourism Film Festival Africa. These results placed the film at the top of the CIFFT ranking in the Tourism Products category before its latest recognition at Terres.

The Terres Travel Festival is a member of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT), a global network dedicated to recognising excellence in tourism filmmaking. Films receiving awards in the festival’s international tourism competition are eligible for the CIFFT Ranking, which contributes to the annual selection of the world’s leading tourism films across different categories.

For KOBU Agency, the Grand Prix marks another milestone for a campaign that has continued to build international recognition for Porto and northern Portugal through a distinctive, character-led approach to destination marketing.
